The Rev. Nic Mather
Fr. Nic Mather joined our church community in August 2018.
Fr. Nic is excited about the many gifts and blessings we share as a community at St. Stephen’s. His passions in ministry include serving those in our community who have the highest needs for food and shelter, being an active voice in our community advocating for justice and the recognition of the dignity of ever person, and serving our growing adult formation and family ministries programs as we raise up the newest Christians in our midst.
Fr. Nic is in love with the liturgy of the Episcopal Church, exploring its many permutations, and is always excited to explain the different elements and help newcomers walk through the service for the first (or hundredth!) time.
In his free time, Fr. Nic enjoys reading fiction (specifically science fiction/fantasy), watching a few select television shows (although a hole exists with the ending of The Good Place), and spending time with his family and watching his two young daughters continue to grow and explore the world around them.
Fr. Nic previously served as Associate Priest and Curate at The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Spokane, WA. He graduated with an M.Div. from Virginia Theological Seminary in 2015.
